BornDigital Rebuts Tim Gobble Attacks
CLEVELAND, TN -- As the design firm that conceived, hosted and maintained the Tim Gobble for Congress website (timgobble.com) since its inception over 2 years ago (21-May-2008), designed all logos, designed all promotional materials, mailers, advertisements, billboards and everything related to the campaign identity, including video production and more, we must respond to the charges made by the Gobble camp that we have “hacked and hijacked” the site.
This is simply a matter of non-payment and attempts to collect an outstanding debt. We have been trying to settle this with the Gobble campaign since early this year, and realized if we waited until after the election, it would be even more difficult to collect. For Mr. Gobble to claim the Federal Election Commission doesn’t require him to pay for services is disingenuous and dishonorable.
BornDigital has provided quality marketing and design services since 1992. We regret that Mr. Gobble wants to try this case in the media, but his public attack on our professional integrity cannot go unanswered. Certainly, such defamatory accusations as the site being “hacked and hijacked,” and describing a professional vendor as “a disgruntled former volunteer” only serve to worsen the situation.
However, rather than having this matter tried in the court of public opinion, we prefer that our legal representatives handle it in a more customary manner.
